ExosAIGet your API key

Use ExosAI in your tools

Every tool that lets you set an OpenAI-compatible base URL works with ExosAI. You need three things: the base URL https://api.exosai.tech/v1, your ExosAI API key, and a model ID from the catalog.

Cline (VS Code)

  1. Open Cline and click the settings icon.
  2. Set API Provider to OpenAI Compatible.
  3. Base URL: https://api.exosai.tech/v1
  4. API Key: your ExosAI key.
  5. Model ID: copy an exact ID from the catalog.

Continue (VS Code and JetBrains)

Add a model to your Continue config.yaml:

models:
  - name: ExosAI
    provider: openai
    model: MODEL_ID_FROM_THE_CATALOG
    apiBase: https://api.exosai.tech/v1
    apiKey: YOUR_EXOSAI_KEY

Cursor

  1. Open Cursor Settings → Models.
  2. Under API keys, enter your ExosAI key as the OpenAI API key.
  3. Turn on Override OpenAI Base URL and enter https://api.exosai.tech/v1.
  4. Add the model ID from the catalog as a custom model and select it in chat.

Cursor uses your own key for chat with the models you add. Some built-in Cursor features keep using Cursor's own models.

OpenAI SDK (Python)

from openai import OpenAI

client = OpenAI(base_url="https://api.exosai.tech/v1", api_key="YOUR_EXOSAI_KEY")
reply = client.chat.completions.create(
    model="MODEL_ID_FROM_THE_CATALOG",
    messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Hello!"}],
)
print(reply.choices[0].message.content)

OpenAI SDK (Node.js)

import OpenAI from "openai";

const client = new OpenAI({ baseURL: "https://api.exosai.tech/v1", apiKey: process.env.EXOSAI_API_KEY });
const reply = await client.chat.completions.create({
  model: "MODEL_ID_FROM_THE_CATALOG",
  messages: [{ role: "user", content: "Hello!" }],
});
console.log(reply.choices[0].message.content);

Questions

Which tools work?

Any app or library that accepts a custom OpenAI base URL, including Cline, Continue, Cursor, LangChain and the official OpenAI SDKs.

Where do I find the model ID?

On exosai.tech/models. Copy the exact ID shown for the model you want.

Can I limit what a key can do?

Yes. Create a separate key per tool or project and choose which models it may use. You can revoke it at any time.
